Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Noor (the "App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of the service

Noor provides selected Quran surahs with Arabic text, transliteration, and translation with audio recitation; a collection of hadith and sunnah content for educational reference; and daily prayer time calculations and reminders based on your device's location. The App is provided as a free educational and devotional tool.

2. Religious content disclaimer

Quran text, translations, transliterations, hadith, and sunnah content are provided for educational and devotional purposes and are sourced in part from third-party services (see our Privacy Policy). While care has been taken to use reliable, widely recognized sources:

• Translations and transliterations are aids to understanding, not substitutes for the original Arabic or for guidance from a qualified scholar or teacher.
• Prayer times are calculated using standard astronomical methods and may differ slightly from your local mosque's published schedule. Your local mosque's timing should always be treated as authoritative where there is any discrepancy.
• We encourage users to verify recitation, pronunciation, and religious rulings with a qualified teacher or local religious authority.

3. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, including of third-party services the App depends on.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Mohammed Hassan Alam] shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including missed prayer notifications, inaccurate location detection, or unavailability of third-party content or audio services.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, redistribute, sublicense, sell, or create derivative works from the App's code, design, or compiled content, except as permitted under the App's license terms
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the App for competitive or commercial purposes without permission
• Use the App in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair its functioning, or that of the third-party services it relies on

6. Intellectual property

The App's code, design, and original written content are proprietary and protected by copyright. Quranic text itself is religious scripture and is not subject to copyright; however, specific translations, the App's compiled selection, design, and code remain proprietary.

7. Third-party services

The App relies on external services (listed in our Privacy Policy) to provide Quran text, audio, prayer time calculations, and location estimation. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third parties.

8. Changes to the App or these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time, and may update these Terms as the App evolves. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law
